Following the launch of Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady, Territory Studio was brought back to create bespoke motion content for onboard screens — enhancing key public spaces through dynamic visual storytelling.

Working closely with Virgin’s brand team and ship designers, we developed ambient media for three signature locationsaboard each vessel: the Atrium, casino bar, and lift screens. Each space required a trio of mood states — Day, Night, and Event — to reflect changing atmospheres over a 24-hour period.

For Valiant Lady, the Atrium transformed from a peaceful seabed during the day to a glowing coral reef at night, culminating in a surreal, club-like “Scarlet mode” with drifting jellyfish and an octopus pulsing to ambient sound design. The lifts hosted looping schools of fish and meditative underwater light textures, designed to both soothe and surprise.

For Resilient Lady, the casino bar content integrated roulette wheels, floating card suits, and octopus limbs with marine motifs — all built in Houdini to deliver a rich, elegant sense of movement.

Each set of visuals was tailored to the design DNA of each ship, extending Virgin’s immersive brand language into the rhythm and flow of life on board.

These screen environments played a subtle but significant role in defining each ship’s unique character — evolving with the time of day, seasonal events, and the wider brand narrative.
