OPEL CORSA –
Helper
Creative Director & VFX Supervisor, The Mill
Directed by Kim Geldenhuys for Markenfilm and McCann Germany, Helper is a charming and visually playful spot for the Opel Corsa. The story follows two cars on a whimsical journey as they find each other — guided by a trail of graffiti-inspired artwork crafted in collaboration with a German street artist duo.
I served as Creative Director and Shoot Supervisor, working closely with Kim and the production team to integrate the animated graffiti seamlessly into the live-action environments. The graffiti elements were designed to act as both narrative and emotional cues, leading the vehicles through city streets in a dynamic, unexpected way.
Post-production was handled at The Mill London, where we combined matte painting, compositing, and motion graphics to bring the artwork to life and enhance the tactile realism of the film. The final grade by Adam Scott tied the piece together with a warm, cinematic tone that matched the light-hearted feel of the story.
